Default Info/Tips/Suggestions for group/kayak camping trip

Hi ! a group of us are looking to go on a kayak/canoe camping trip, hopefully staying within alberta, all novice, and hoping to have a 3-4 night trip. it will be the first camping trip for all of us, so any tips, tricks, suggestions (things to pack, ways to stay light, types of clothing, things to avoid etc) would be very helpful ! have also called a few places trying to reference out if a 'guide' is available to 'rent' lol.. we're hoping to go middle to end of july, and have narrowed it down to these 3 places..

1.Lake Tripping: Lakeland Provincial Park (edmonton area)
2.Red Deer: Dickson to Drumheller
3.Red Deer: Drumheller to Dinosaur Provincial Park
