Default Squeezing extra $$$ from your line?

Jut wondering how you guys makes few extra bucks off your animals. I have read that guys save the glands and either make their own lure or sell it, beaver tail leather and some even sell penis bones?!? Not sure what that one is all about. I figure if there is a market for something then why not make use of more than just the pelt, but than being said if there is no market in the area, then I wont waste my time.

Set up about a thousand squirrel snares.......ha! @ a $1.6 it hardly seems worth it, never mind the lower grade ones that bring half of that. Buuuuut, if a guy had a lot of time (I don't) and got into volume trapping those reds, u could make a few extra bucks. Always seems to be a population of them.

You might have a hard time sending skulls across the Canada/US border.Would definitely require some kind of permit.

As far as making the most of your beaver, if you were really creative you could make beaver jerky to sell at the farmers market. Or beaver foot backscratchers. haha.

Sell the carcasses to bear hunters, or eat them yourself. Save you buying pork but you may use a little more toilet paper. Tends to be laxative.
--------
Actually, go to google images and type in beaver tooth jewelry. Again, a small market but a possibility.

There might be a small market for beaver skeletons if you cleaned the bones and re-assembled them. No man cave is complete without a beaver skeleton?

Besides the castor glands there is also a set of oil glands that can be used.
This site shows the oil gland removal really good.

(If them high falooting women only knew alot of high end perfumes have beaver castor in them...)
