Default L.L. Bean Kennebec vs Vest Pack

I was flipping through a fly fishing magazine while waiting for a prescription to get filled yesterday, and I saw an ad by L.L. Bean for their Kennebec fly fishing vest/back pack:

While cruising the rest of their website I found the Rapid River Vest Pack:
ww.llbean.com/llb/shop/45399?feat=76464-ppxs&dds=y

I feel like I need to have one of these. I'm leaning towards the convertable vest/backpack.
Does any one have any experience with either, or something similar? Pros/cons?
Right now I am just using what most would consider a typical vest that I found at Bass Pro for $120 or so.

Thanks in advance

Don't have experience with either of these vests, but you won't be disappointed with LL Bean gear. I got one of their upland vest/packs, it's fantastic for a day pack.

I have a William Joseph Exodus convertible tech pack. All I can say is that it is awesome investment. The pack can either be use together or separately. I have there first generation pack not sure what the new one is like. I had a bad zipper sent it to them they repaired it for free.
