Default Scandi Short Shooting fly line

Does anyone use a Scandi line for extra distance and better roll casting production on a single handed heavier fly rod?
If so...how do you like it?

And since we're talking fly lines.....what are your favorite lines to use and why?

Had some wonderline that was good, stood up to some good abuse. I have tried Rio gold and I am not a fan, it didn't have many fishing days and it started to crack. I currently have some SA nymph line that I really like. Haven't had it out fish yet but got some Rio Outbound Short to toss pike flies and was just casting in the park minus a hook and you feel the rod load when you try to double haul it. So I think that it is going to be good for pike this summer.

Default Scandi line

After reading the op I thought I would give it a try.
Used a Colton 9' 10wt Leviathan, with Lamson
Litespeed 3.5, Dacron backing, 30lb Rio Slickshooter running
Line looped to Airflo Scandi Compact 330gr. 5' maxima 15lb
Leader and a 3" Intruder tied on cotter pin.

I couldn't get your typical spey casts going because of the area (edge of
Lease with lots of mud) also I may have had better spey casts if I had a
Poly leader looped on, I do have some medium MOW
Tips I could try next time or maybe a lighter hook and longer
Leader would have worked better.
But... One thing is certain! If I bring my line in to about 2' from head and make
One false cast and really haul it I can get very good distance (mainly slickshooter) and an impressively
Soft landing.
Thinking I may be trying my switch rod (11' 7wt gloomis) for sh casts to slough sharks from the boat, have a Skagit 360gr to match with the MOWS also. Never tried sh casts with it though. Flies in the head don't sound very pleasing!

I've mentioned it before but I cast a 200gr Snowbee Switch (scandi) line on a couple of my singlehanders (5 & 6wts), great line for singlehand spey casts as well as for shooting line when you need to.

Yeup, had one on my 10' 6wt, great line for smaller salmon and big trout.

Let me know if you want to try one out, I've got a 200, 250 & 300gr here, the 200 works well with a fast 5wt or a medium fast 6wt.

I'm a big fan of the Rio Indicator taper for my nymph sticks,
Rio Streamer Tip for my streamer rods
Rio Trout Taper II for my dry fly rods
Rio Gold for my universal rods
Rio Coldwater Clousers for my pike sticks
