Default Kootenay Lake

Hey I am gonna be fishing Kootenay Lake in May. I was thinkin of fly fishing with bucktails(trolling). Any advice on this??? Thanks

Just starting to heat up out there. We landed a 11-1/2" pd. Gerrard on Sunday.

Make sure you have your lines way out. Some use planer boards to get them out to the sides too. But I haven't used them out there. Use black/white, purple/grey, blue/white, or green/white bucktails. There are a thousand other combinations. But those are some of my favorites out on Kootenay. I usually troll fairly fast as well.
