Default The miracle of wolf reintroduction

Wow, after seeing that I believe wolves can also bring back Jesus and maybe the McRib.

I have fact checked none of these mostly unquantifyable statements m but anicdotaly it seems to be true of everywhere there are wolves. 😉

Who would have thought that this would be the outcome very interesting, thanks for sharing.

I was skeptical of this summarized version when I saw it. There's an Attenborough program, about an hour or so in length that goes into significantly more detail of the process. It was interesting. Honestly enough, reintroducing the beaver alone would change the environment significantly.

Only problem is wolves ate almost All the elk! One wolf kills 2 elk per month, thus pack of 10 will kill ~240 elk per year. PS lots of time they do not even eat the elk they kill, just kill for fun. Lucky the grizzly bears clean up after them.

Duh, hunting the deer and elk would have done the same.

Not true. Wolves certainly were a factor in decreased elk numbers since wolf reintroduction to Yellowstone, but many factors are involved. See https://www.nationalparkstraveler.or...rowing-numbers
for example.

Funny though how elk population goes down. Wolf population will also go down. Almost like nature will balance itself.

Let do math, 170 wolves in 2003 in Yellowstone would eat over 4000 elk in one year. It is no wonder why they no longer have 20,000 elk and only few thousand now.,

They didn’t want 20,000 elk. Way to many.
