Well, that's one more thing to add to my bucket list - fight a kangaroo hand to hand. I'd imagine that it's an exhilarating experience.

The roo was off guard , not everyday someone throws a punch . He was expecting a kick not a hook.

After watching that a number of times it looks like the dog was never in any distress and was quite calm about the whole thing. That headlock was not obstructing his breathing at all. The Roo did give it a kick to the belly however, but dog had armour on.
That was a nice punch thrown at the Roo, but the fellow appeared to open his hand at last second making it more of a slap then a punch. Surprised Roo but did no damage.
That Roo did have the spookiest looking dead stare as he stood his ground in an aggressive stance.

Dog was wearing a boar collar do I doubt that the 'roo could have strangled him
But he could have done done damage with his feet

That was good. Love the Roos expression after the hit. ...... Now if you ever hit me and I find out about it
Good for a laugh. Needed it too. Rough night at work just now.

No doubt, it's all over the news here in Queensland as well and people are saying the zoo he works at should fire him. He's essentially being tarred and feathered yet a year or so ago when that surfer punched the shark, he was a hero.

The same people probably want to outlaw boar hunting as well

You know, it just occured to me that they might have been out there hunting Kangaroos to begin with. If that's the case, that roo got off lucky.

FYI...
Kangaroos are know to head-lock dogs with their forearms, then, disembowel them with their hind legs which are tipped with nasty claws. Buddy is lucky the 'Roo don't kick him in the nads.
