Default Swelling wooden doors /gates

With all this moister my gates and doors outside are starting to annoy me.Edges have been beveled so much that in winter theirs huge gaps between the jams. Amazing how much the door grows.
I have one door that enters my backyard (2x4 osb)that gives me trouble. Each year I bevel more off but I think the answer is to make the jam adjustable. I have a 1/4” strip to fill the gap on the jam side. See pic. I think I can remove the 1/4 ply and just use washers or??? Remove screws add shims as needed and adjust as needed.
Only thing I can think of. What say you??

OSB expands with moisture, kind of a poor choice for being exposed to the weather. Plywood not so much.

I think it’s a combination of the 2,dimensional wood and osb. All
My 2x4 gates also expand with this humidity so I don’t think plywood would help much not sure. I have big hinges on this that are bolted through the frame and the osb so hard to change now. Glad I haven’t finished the outside yet so I can still remove the jam side.

These are just gates?

Why the need for close tolerances on the gap?

Maybe cut the gate back to always fit and add to the jamb if needed?

Once the dry air comes back the gaps get pretty big.Im thinking T nuts and springs on the jam, tighten as the door grows then back it off as it shrinks.

What about painting the inside and all the edges to seal up some of the moisture to slow down the changes?
