It will be strictly for grouse, I never shoot varmints like gophers etc.

When you say 10/22, what does that mean exactly? What's the difference between .22LR and 10/22?

Sorry for the questions but I like to be as informed as possible before making decisions.

. It is called the ruger 10/22 because its calibre is 22lr and it holds 10 shots. It is also semi-auto

A 10/22 is a Ruger semi auto rimfire cambered in 22lr

I've got one and it's great for Grouse

I also have a 10/22 that I put a complete Voquartsen lower into, with the match grade trigger, Elite 3200 3x9 on it, and I would be my grouse gun of choice. I love my Browning, I'll never get rid of it as it came from my uncle's estate, but that trigger is horrible! Really too bad, as it is such a sweet little rifle.
