Default Bull in the Mist

Just thought I'd share some pictures of the Bull I got last Monday.
I missed him at 370 yards on Saturday morning but found him again that night and watched him until dark. I came back in on Monday morning and hiked into where we thought he last was. It was very foggy but he bugled once and gave himself away. After a short stalk he was broadside at 160 yards.
A good bull and a great hunt that I got to share with my good friends...life couldn't get better.

This is a picture immediately after I shot him, from where I shot him from

Approaching the prize

He may not be huge but he has lots of curves and character

It helps to have good buddies who are willing to work hard to get your game out. Thanks guys!

The pack crew

My favorite load to have on a pack.

Nice Bull!! Lots of character in that rack, and nice dark antlers. I was doing reasonably well at suppressing my enthusiasm for chasing elk in the high country this weekend...now you've ruined my inner calm

Wow!! Very nice bull. I think I recognize the crew from some pictures a few years ago (not AO pics). You had a grizzly eat a 6 point a few years ago, right?

Beauty of a bull! and having 3 friends help you pack it out of that kind of country has got to make a guy very very grateful!! I'll bet you bought the first few rounds after you got him packed out! That's like hard work.
