Default .22 Rimfire @100 yards

had my M37 out the last few days to see what it would do in the cooler weather.
Results were good, but I need t find the best ammo for it the colder temps.

100 yards is pretty difficult to shoot an accurate group with no wind, let alone when it s breezy!

The rifle was built in 1958 IIRC, the scope s a 15X Lyman Super Targetspot made in 1954. It is watch is sometimes called an RTB (return to battery) scope, using external adjustments and a sliding scope tube.
The scope is pulled back into battery after each shot, or the spring can be set to do it automatically.

Some may find strange, but even though t was a dedicated match rifle ,the Remington M37 came with a detachable magazine.!
Got the thing zeroed at 100, then f course the wind went stupid!
The ten ring BTW, is one inch, slightly smaller than a Loonie, the fve st group on the single target can be covered with a loonie.

You will mostly see the older vintage varmint an target rifles.Fecker, Unertl, Lyman ,Belding and Mull, lots of the were made by different uotfits, and they even were made by Tasco a while back, when Tasco built quality scopes..
IIRC Carlos Hathcock used a Unertl.

Impressive shooting by both Rem. and the guy behind it. I was using CZ 455 V at 145yds today and was happy to keep them on a 6in gong. You set the bar high.

Thanks but to be truthful I am out of practice!
Once I get back into the swing of it, I should be able to cut those groups down by quite a bit.Hopefully will be able to post some good 50 yard and 200 yard groups soon!

Thanks Richard!
This rifle will drop them right in there at 200.
This is a ten shot group I shot a few years back with it.
