How dare you keep a fish which you are legally allowed to!!!! Thats only 21 pounds if thats a size 2 boot!!!!!

JK. That is a fat fish!!! Nice job. Did you take her out of a 10" hole? Looks like she would have got stuck in an 8". You'll get plenty of meat off of her, great job!!!! No need for any flaming for that one.

Well you know she had eggs and all, prime egg laying speciman she might have made babies that lived long enough to be 10+lb fish haha.
She almost didnt fit out of the hole, had to pull her by the head to get her out, got the battle wounds on my fingers to prove it lmao. It was a perfect hookset right in the corner of the mouth, single hook with a smelt hooked through the back. Was surprised she didnt cut my line, I wasnt using a leader. But im sure she was an old fish, no front teeth and no long "canine" teeth, just the short small teeth along the sides of the jaw.

Nice fish!!

If it's the body of water I'm thinking, I'm not surprised there's something that big in there.... Plenty of food!

Every year there is a few big ones pulled out of Nich Sheran. I wouldn't be surprised if it was there.

It is a put and take trout lake so the trout get replenished there every year. The pike and perch are natural in there.

I don't know if the water is still brought in from Park lake but I know they use to fill Nich Sheran from Park Lake and I am pretty sure that is how the pike and perch got in there.

Nice gator by the way. They get pretty big pretty quick in the trout ponds.

Was thinking the same!! I caught a 12lb out of that little pond/lake south of the university about 4 yrs ago when i lived down there. The trout are just a snack for the pike there!

Awsome pike!!!

I went to University down there, and one fine summer afternoon, while casting flies, I saw a fat girl just like that cruise by - scared the crap out of me ......

Good on you - that pig looks like she has a dozen trout in her belly.

I kept one that big a while back that was not going to survive. I thought the meat would have been tough coming off such a big fish. Nope!!! It tasted better than the Walleye I buy at Costco.

Nice Pike, Congrats.

NHO.

She looks like someone over inflated her. Did you measure how long she was?
