Default Horsefly Lake?

Does anyone bother with this lake by Taber anymore? I used to go as a kid but haven't been in years.

You landed one 5 pound pike every six minutes? That lake sounds better than any other place on earth ............

Post some pictures or maybe a video.

Congrats!!!!

there are lots of lakes like Horsefly in the south. They dont see much pressure because they dont produce the the 20lb fish that everyone is after these days.

southeast side of lake , fished in middle of lake. about 5 feet of water. if you are over sandy bottom move in until you are over weeds. have fun.

Wayne would probably take MOST guys to his hot spots. But he doesn't fish with some under bridges.

been fishing Horsefly for 50 years and it aint wrecked yet. For that matter neither are any of the other lakes in the south.

you can tell a person where to go and what to use but 9 times out of 10 they will never match your performance.

Has happened to me many times.

Henderson Lake – Open all year – Pike limit 3 (no size limit); Perch limit 15.

Horsefly (Lake) Reservoir – Open all year - Walleye limit 1 over 55 cm; Pike limit 3 (no size limit); Perch limit 15.

Interlake (Johnson Lake) (16-19-15-W4)
May 8 to Mar. 15 – Pike limit 3 over 63 cm; Perch limit 15.
Mar. 16 to May 7 – CLOSED

Help me out here? It is a 'secret' lake...how?

No size limit. Usually means a fishery predisposed to winterkill. Maybe not recently, but in the future??
