Default I'm new to elk, please advise

I see that there are are alot of great Elk hunters around here. I hope one day I'll be posting the pics. I have been "hunting" elk for a few years, found some tracks, but have never been able to take one home. Could some one let please me know where I could go fill my General elk tag. I have been given directions like, south of Whitecourt, East of Edson, South of nojack. I go drive around, walk through fields, cuts lines, logging roads, ect. I'm looking for something more specific. I can do bow, rifle, muzzleloader, whatever!!!!! I just want to find some elk. thanks

There are pockets of Elk scattered throughout Alberta. Find an area that there is elk in(like the ones you mentioned), then look for fields of standing Oats or Alfalfa next to heavy timber . If there is elk around, they gotta eat.
