Default where is winter?

I actually like cold days,, is it just me or is the weather milder this winter than last winter. Was ice fishing yesterday and felt way over dressed. At least in the s end of the province, I know north of red deer has winter like weather.

Last year was WAY worse for mild weather earlier in the year. I don't think there was enough ice to drive on down south till damn near February or later last year (if I remember correctly...)

I'm with you though. I like the cold!

In my neck of the wood we had about the longest pre-Christmas, sub -20 run I can remember. We havnt gotten below -30 very much and January has been a little more mild than usual but altogeather I would not call this winter mild. Last winter I never even dug out my winter work gear all winter, this year I was using it by the end of October.

Two nights ago the headline on national TV was "ENTIRE NATION IN DEEP FREEZE'.
My wife looked at me as I started up the BBQ on the deck and said "Must be cold in Toronto tonight"

It's been brutal up here this winter. More cold and more snow then we've had since back in the sixties.

I pretty sure this year will break many records for this area. The least amount of nice days, the highest snowfall in the past forty years, the lowest average temperatures, and what else I have no idea.

Yup, it was a tinderbox up here last summer. Dry as a popcorn ****!
I'm looking forward to this spring more then most. It's gonna be like when I was a kid, lakes in every field, every other road washed out, and ducks everywhere!
Maybe the Beaver will learn to swim again. It'll be nice to see water in the river again too.

Default I must be getting soft

Went out at 8 am to do the driveway ,did half , was really cold .
Went in for coffee.....now debating on the other half....

I think with the wind - 35 C. Thats not even real degrees.

Back in the day...back in the Peg....we'd be down to the Red for a swim.

One day of winter now and again I can live with....maybe.

-30 at my place this morning...yesterday was -25 with way to much wind, seemed like -40..we also have more snow than last year, hope it melts slow and soaks in..the fields could use that moisture,as well as the river needs to be topped up.
And i hate the cold...getting older i guess. I really look forward to the spring and getting out in the boat in the summer..
