100% a bull trout fillet.

Nah but seriously. Thats not a wide enough fillet for a jumbo perch. Im guessing a rainbow?

Definately an older fish with all the red meat against the skin. that would be a great perch or a decent rm white. I'm going w/ rocky mountain whitefish

100% lake white, and if you cut that red fat out they make a pretty tasty battered fish.

No idea.

I fed it to some dinner guests and told them it was a mountain coho.

They were polite.

I joke.

It was actually not bad. Haven't had any fish from Ghost that were bad however.

I think the cold water helps them stay tasty.

I won't be targeting them for the table, but now know what to expect.

Yum!

In other news...

We had fish tacos for dinner.

Chipotle fried RMWF with homemade tomato/avacado salsa, Yucatan pumpkin seed sauce on a corn tortilla.

Yumm x2

I had to stay pretty tight lipped to avoid ruining the surprise that it was a sucker so not I will comment. I am quite surprised at how the fillets look. I thought they would be softer and gross. Pretty cool that they held together so nicely for a good fish fry.
