Default oldman river

Wanting to go out on saturday and do a lil fly fishing where the old man river crosses hwy 22. anybody drove by there or anything lately. wondering how dirty/fast/high the water is. anything helps. thanks guys

I haven't been out there, but given the amount of rain in that area (and snow melt), i don't like your chances for the river to be very fishable.

I don't think you will be happy when you see it...

If we don't get rain for a week you might be in luck though.

If it's anything like the west and south castle river then u better find a different place to go. Way to high and fast rite now.

Iwas out there last weekend and it was fishable Friday but high and the color of coffee bu Monday. Should clear up quickly if there is no more rain but I think Sat. might be cutting it close.

I fished it friday... As of saturday the river went up well over a foot due to 80-100mm rain... was stupid high and dirty by sunday....

Tuesday/wednesday = 100mm rain... = high chance that your wasting your time heading there to fish.

I heard the river is clear and the 30 inchers are biting!!!!!!!!!!!

Theres a local guy around those parts that will gladly take fisherman on guided trips for free! He enjoys the conversation and company. Last time I was down there I spoke with this fellow, I can't remember his name but he drives a silver pathfinder
