lake newell fishing on saturday

Well we went out to lake newll on saturday bright and early. Troll around for a while and coundn't find any fish. Found a bay by the resort and spent most of the day there. Between the two of us, we caught about 20 pike all around 22 and 24 inches. Great day on the lake can't wait to go back to find the bigger ones. Going camping in Mcgrath this weenkend and going to try chin lake, jensen lake and st.mary's res. Anyone have any suggestion on these lakes would be greatly appreciated.

I only have experience at Chin. I like to fish on the west side of the bridge up about 200 yards there is a pump house on shore. The Walleye action out from it can be pretty decent.
