Can be anywhere from 150-300$ if your taking it to a reputable shop. I have done my own for the last little while making the pillars on a small lathe and using a piloted counter bore to open the existing action screw holes. Lots of videos on youtube and information in the internet and as long as you apply release agent liberally you can always re do any screw ups for the most part just need a dremel/files and some time.
I’ve done it myself as well. Just watch a few videos and away you go. Materials and tools will cost you under $100 and you’ll be able to do several with what you’ve got. I did a CZ527 and a Tikka T3 and am very happy with the result.
I made my own pillars from split-pin stock. They’re easy to cut to length with a zip blade in an angle grinder and then fine tune the length on a grinder. Clean the cut end up with a Dremel or die grinder.
Thank you for all the replies. Did more online research and going to do my own . Have a buddy with lathe to do aluminium pillars. Will post pictures in progress.
