Default Getting scoped by another hunter

Has anything been developed that a hunter could use when they feel they are being scoped by another hunter?

For example: a red L.E.D. light.

Something you could just flash. Then you would have the peace of mind knowing that the offending party isn't going to fire in your direction.

Anyway what are your ideas and thoughts on this? wouldn't work, to bulky, would scare the deer?

Given the incidents of scoping I know of, I susoect the flashing light would draw the scopers attention to you and you would wind up getting scoped more. JMHO

Ever hear of HUNTER ORANGE.

I at most times carry a blaze orange toque with me while I travel in the bush. Once I am at my hunting spot "stealth mode is applied"

I have in all the time I've been in the bush been "scoped" ONCE and that was as I was getting out of my truck in a snow storm. Guess the guy was lookn for his partner to come pick him up?( not a good way to greet a buddy)

Ummmm.....NO! I've been scoped way more in orange than camo. Maybe a bolded large font paragraph in the regs would at least create some awareness. People need to know that scoping is WRONG!

When I see other hunters (blaze or not) I'll throw up the binos and have a look at them. Seems to me a guy who uses his scope instead of bino's will do the same.

Once confirmed this is an option.

It's against the law to point a rifle at another person. Hunting regulations require we identify the target before aiming at it. This is why they sell binoculars in hunting supply stores.

Orange blaze is supposed to make us more visible. But no guarantee you still won’t be shot.

Motorized orange moose! Blaze unfortunately doesn’t stop some clowns from taking a closer look via the barrel of their rifle.

These peckerwoods scoping folks have no respect for the law, safe handing of firearms, and no respect for hunting regulations. Why would you trust them not to pull the trigger? They’ve proved pretty untrustworthy up to this point.

You never know what a person pointing a firearm at you is intending to do. I see a rifle pointed at me as a lethal threat and suspect I will respond with lethal force. The law does not require you to be shot before you defend yourself. I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Maybe if a few more of these clowns realized that scoping other hunters might result in a couple of rounds in the chest they might take the plunge and start using binoculars to identify targets.

Just playing devils advocate, not sure how I will respond to being scoped.

I sure would like to see these folks loose their firearms and hunting privledges. I don't want to share the bush with them, they are accidents waiting to happen.
