Default Quick reg question

Ok...I'm hooked now that I got a deer and I have a question bc I'd like to get out more now. The deer I shot was a special draw mulie doe, and looking at the regs it looks like I can also get a general mulie tag? Is this correct or am I misreading it? Thanks in advance.

You can puchase a general tag but it only applies for some zones. Most zones for mule deer are draw, so you have to check the regulations to see which zones are open for the general tag.

You could buy your general whitetail tag its good anywhere mostly. Or maybe try the general bull elk tag and head west into the hills.

The way I read it is that you can not get another mule deer tag. "may obtain only 1 of the first two licenses".

White tail no problem.

Maybe check to see if your doe mule tag in your zone has supplements.

Swamp, in that section included is a mule deer gen tag and antlered md special lic, no mention of antlerless, further down the regs the antlerless md special is stated that a res ad may obtain 1 of each of the 13 listed. On pg 22 and 23 of the regs. Confusing to say the least but I've read some posts by other users who have done the same thing, filled their doe draw and are now off to fill their general tags.

I do plan on chasing some wt, but also a md gen will increase my chances and I'd also like to try for a buck! Anyways thanks for the help and if anyone else could help that'd be great!

You can hold both a general mule deer license, and an antlerless mule deer special license. However you can't hold both a general mule deer license and an antlered mule deer special license.

Yes, you are correct - as long as you follow the rules for the particular WMU that you are hunting in.

If you are still confused send an email here: srd.infocent@gov.ab.ca
and someone will answer your question to confirm.

This can take a few days to receive a response.
