Default My opening day

my opening day found me inside of Crafty's brand spanky new chevy. hunting the lands he grew up east of the city. quite a few deer seen, and passed up on a gimme doe. but managed to help out some farmers by dumping 2 coyotes.

only managed to take pics of the first coyote. So now i can FINALLY say ive killed something with a remington model 710, which i bought off crafty as a "back up/friend needs a gun" which i found was highly accurate after putting a cheap scope on top. didnt figure it needed a high end scope as it was so ugly. I know a bunch of people who hate them and say they wont hit the broadside of a barn yet alone a deer, so im gonna use it for 1 deer this year and rub the guns ugliness in thier faces, LOL

heres the yote. they looked pretty healthy. and a .270 win at 100 yards with a quartering towards me shot proves lethal.

what an UGLY rifle!!!!!!!

taking my time this year, and not to worries about bringing down too much, as i still have alot of meat in the freezer from last year.

Good shooting there NDN. On the gun, you sure it is the gun that is ugly or is it the guy holding it?LMAO

It's not the inaccuracy that I do not like , on the contrary, I have found that they are accurate rifles.
it is the stuff that falls of them and the other issues that I have found.
I have seen too many jam, bolts fall off, weird scope base mountings, etc.
There was oe that even had the little logo fall off!
besides, it's got on of those flippy thingys on the side!
(nice shot on the 'yote, BTW!)

Well it is a start, and it does help out the farmer. Are you keeping the hide? Makes for a good neck warmer.

PS...hows the buying a house thing going?

i stuffed the yotes under the seats of Crafty's new chevy truck seats when he wasnt looking

the house thing is going real well, we'll be buying in Fort saskatchewan, my hometown, this summer. unless some freak of nature moves us to winnipeg or surrounding area.
