You are just being hard to get along with. I zero almost all of my hunting rifles at 300 yards, as long as it doesn't make that cartridge more than 3.5 high at 100. For the rifles zeroed at 300, it means you can pretty much hold on fur to 400. This is what Eric is getting at. On the rare occasions when I shoot farther than 400 yards, there is a verified drop card taped to the gun stock. The drop card starts at 100 yards and goes to 800. 50 yard increments from 100 to 500 yards, 25 after that. Drops are shot verified at the 100 yard increments to 600 yards.
