2013 Wild Horizon South Africa trip
Late last fall we made our second trip to Africa with Guy Swart of Wild Horizon Hunting Safaris. The first trip was in 2008 and we were the first Canadians to go with him.
My wonderful wife loves to hunt and shoot as much or more then I do which makes a trip to Africa very special for both of us. We spent a month over there Hunting, Site seeing, touring, fishing, and just enjoying the wonderful country that has been a part of our heart's since the 3rd day of our first 10 day trip.
Hopefully our heads will arrive prior to the Edmonton Boat and Sports show this March. I have to tell you that Guy, and Clint are two of the greatest guys we have ever been with and we call them true friends. Both will be here this year at the show.
Ill try to post a few pics of the Hilite animals we took this trip. We also took quite a few cull animals for meat while there.
Enjoy

And one more for now
The Bush Pig my wife got was a monster and pretty rare not many people ever see one. We didn't realize what a trophy it was but a lot of people from there wanted to see it.
The Nyala was a wonderful trophy as was the Bush buck, very old boys with a lot of character. The Gemsbock was a good specimen and was taken in the northern province.
The Kudu was a great trophy and was hard to find due to the fact we went late in the year and the bulls were all alone in deep thick thorny bush resting up from rut.
Like the bush pig the Baboons were a real bonus and I was fortunate enough to take 2 big old males with a couple of long range shots.
Hope you Guys an Gals enjoy them as much as we did.

Africa
I'm sure you'll have a time of your life, and can bet youll return..
Some people complain and criticize hunting in SA but it depends on who you go with.
These guys hunt in some tough country all mountains and your not riding in a truck shooting your hunting. you wont be driving high fence lines for sure.
But its truly affordable to the average couple with average lifestyle and income.......
If your one to have a golden spoon serving you I guess it isnt for you! But its been wonderful to us and many others that have went from here.
again enjoy
