Default Bringing Game and meat back from USA

I am headed to Texas in early march to hunt hogs and possibly exotics, more specifically a blackbuck. Does anyone have any experience bringing back meat from the states and or game heads? Id rather not have my taxidermy done in the states.
I have read canadas importing laws regarding bringing meat back and it states for hunters all they need is a tag to prove they shot it.
So my question is what do I need if I shoot it on a ranch where no tag is required?
Just looking for some input and advice, im sure ill have to end up calling canadian border services but I thought this would be a start.

I have never had a problem bringing game meat across the border in either direction, even when the mad cow thing was going on. All I have ever needed to show is my tags or license, and most of the time not even that. They just wave me through. Have never tried bringing game ranch meat across though, so I'm no help with that.

You need a US Fish and Wildlife declaration from 3-177 for non-CITES species

http://www.fws.gov/le/declaration-form-3-177.html

PM sent with more info.

It's tricky with an animal like that nube. Because it will require a CITES permit on both sides from what I can understand, the same as if I shoot a blackbuck

Auodad/Barbary sheep is a CITES Appendix 2 listed species. Blackbuck is a CITES Appendix 3 listed species. The requirements are different for each. Always best to contact US F&W directly and confirm requirements well in advance of your hunt. Nube, I used a broker to obtain the CITES permit and export/import my Aoudad a few years back - very unlikely you can coordinate all the required paperwork in time to bring your Aoudad cape and horns with you on the flight back from your hunt.
