Where do you buy your arrows?
Just wondering were you guys and gals go to buy your arrows? Do you find them on line or do you find the local bow shops have good prices?

Once you know the brand, size and spine arrow you want/need, Shop around for best price. Lots of places to buy in and around Edmonton and online.

if the deal is too good to pass up ill buy online, but i will pay a little bit more and support local usually. what would we have if all our shops closed cuz no one bought local (excluding big box shops they don't count) then all we would be stuck with would be big box shops

I make mine, amazing the quality you can get out of a rose-wood shaft! my wooden arrows are grouping as good as my carbon arrows of my recurve.

Thing to remember when buying online you may get full lentgh arrows or shaft that have to be cut...or if they cut them there may be a good fee for cut and insert install...also xtra fee for custom colors...shipping and handling ...also Taxes, Duty and Brokerage Fees may be applicicable at border if ordering from states...
Than that good deal doesnt look so good anymore...
A great majority of shooters have arrows too long or short...your Local PRO shop will check your draw, bow weight for spine, color choice, cut to spec, ASD on arrow to square , inserts install...
Something to consider!
Neil

Have ordered from them several times Huge variety of makes to choose from, huge pick of fletch, colors, etc arrows cut to your size, weighed to match within tight tolerance and finishing was excellent. Fast delivery. Also have an excellent information section on arrows

Jim Bows or Trophy Book Archery.
Gold Tip Velocity XT are on sale in packs of 12 for $84.
A six pack at regular is close to that.
Watch for sales at local dealers as it still supports our shops in the province.
I don't mind spending funds local at Pro Shops as they help us with issues when needed.
Some times they help us for free as they know our names and that we support them too.
All win win in the adventure of good times in Archery.

I like to support the local shops, but I'm not gonna lie. I will also buy them at the big box stores when they are on sale. Haven't purchased them online for about 10 years. Last dozen I bought for myself was from accurate archery. Picked up dozen for my daughter on sale for 50% off at wholesale sports last year also. It depends on who carries the arrow that I'm looking for as well.

I have bought my last ones at the box stores strictly because of sales. However, I'll be talking to JimBows or Fly's Etc about ordering my next arrows. I'm down to 4 of them. I can buy singles at the Calgary Archery Center but they are expensive.

Wize too saving funds idea.
My long time friend shoots limited 3D and practises alot at home, so here's his "thought" process on this...
He has two brands of arrows that are matched for weight, his bow likes this diet as it shoots both brands good.
He has his normal sight setting for his harvest arrows with hunting tips.
2 clicks too the Right and 3 clicks up, reverse too this for broad heads when he gets into long distance target shooting with pre-warm up to the fall season.
His second brand of arrows are not the cheapest, but he saves $1/3 over all with them doing the target shooting and predator control thing in the off season.
5 clicks Left and 4 too 5 clicks low.
A few more clicks depending on gopher getter heads.
So over the years he has lost and broke thousands of expensive arrows and Hunting tips, for the last 20 ish years he has cut that cost by a 1/3...
His words.
"If a person is a part time archer, then a hand full of arrows is all that's needed.
A more advanced archer might choose to run one brand or two depending on the amount of arrows shot per year.
Extreme archers like my self change things up as we know our bows, sighting, and extras well as we rap off 7, 30, or more depending on how we feel that day.
The cost savings from frugal arrows that are allowed to be lost in predator hunting or 3D is no big deal as I know my main harvest arrows await being lost or damaged in the theatre of big game harvest,,, very few of them go missing as the off season practic keeps me dialed in for the fall gathering."
So this is the path I'm on this year.
2 sets of mid quality frugal arrows for my compound and recurve, 1 quality set of 12 for my harvests.
Been learning alot about how each bow reacts too different settings, taking notes, and being ready to make changes when needed before fall harvest season.
Archery is a way of learning something about ones self, we can plan what best works for us by allowing change when we want it.

All in all, the best place to buy arrows, is from a store that sells arrows! Lol
