Good perch are becoming harder and harder to find. If I knew of a decent spot I'd tell you but don't be suprised if you get no replies on this one. Seems a "touchy" subject here these days.

No one should hide their perch fishing spots, i think it's simply over population that stunts them, I don't truly understand why their is even a limit on perch.

Perhaps some understanding of ichthyology would help you understand why there are limits. And studying human behavior.

Ichthyology: the part of zoology that studies fish big WHOO!
Why does every one have to act like their a bio. tech. why can't you just say people don't know enough to limit their selves.
I guess some people must just try to feel superior over others.
Study human behaviour: Just reread whats in red.......!

this is a very good question, over population stunts due to lack of food(too many age class fish feeding on same food source) ,food < mouths. over fishing stunts by removing the prime breeding dna. aggressive big fish< avid anglers. only in the fine balance between these factors along with a year round high value food source and predators ,do true jumbos thrive. it is my view that in alberta we lack the year round food source in most lakes. and one thing I learned a long time a go lunkers of any species get that way by avoiding fishermen. my two bits, tight lines.
