Nice looking lever. There were 3000 of them made. So my source says.

To shoot or not to shoot. Hmmm? I bought a high grade Winchester for my father (fathers day gift)about 25 years back. My dad loved that gun so much , he never took it out of the closet .I actually wished he had hunted with it, then it would have meant something too me. As it is ,I sold it after he passed away. Long story short, did you buy it as an investment, or because the gun bug bit you and you wanna hunt with it?

With all the guns I have owned I have never bought one for an investment.I don't think a guy will get rich using guns as an investment.I think its time to look for some brass and dies.

Default nice piece

What a great find! Had a browning remake of the 71 myself a few years back and regret selling it. Took my first three elk with it and a couple of deer. makes a great bush gun, with lots of "oomph" for the big stuff.
Even though it makes a great bush/elk gun, I dont know if I would have the heart to scuff that baby up!
