Default X bolt X lock Rings

Can someone tell me if there is supposed to be a lower ring with a different shaped curve for the front base on this set of rings because the ones I got are not fitting they are both the standard ring height but the scope will not sit level if they sit this way the front of the reciever is higher than the back.

I have an X-bolt and the front base is different than the back one (the front is more rounded than the flatter back one) Sounds like you might have two rear ones? With the scope mounted, looking from the side, the bases should look like the following- hold your hands out in front of you, make an L with thumb and fore finger on both hands (one will be a backwards L) and then point the thumbs toward each other. Hope this helps.

Have seen a few XBolts now and have seen the rings mounted 2 ways. 1 the way stated with the L part both facing in and the other with both L's facing to the rear.
Mine is the later(know of 3 this way) and seems to center the rear ring better on the tube. Not sure it would fit turned around. Im just looking at a pic I have though. Ill have to look better when I get home.

It was done by a reputable gun shop but was one of the first X Bolts in Alberta so maybe it was done wrong. Sits level and shoots good but will have to have a look.

I got Leupold monts on my x-bolt with 4 screws per base and fits really well and more play to adjust your scope. Better look also. The lower monts fit perfect wit my 3x9x40... just 1/8" over the barel... Perfect.
