Looks like enough gun & plenty of optics, even back then. Cool pic, now waiting for the story.....

Woke up from a little nap and he’s heading up the hillside a long way off. One shot from the 264 anchored him.

Wow Bob you got me thinking back to my first wolf in Nov 1978, about 150km south of GP near Sherman Meadows, my old Ford F250 and 8' 9" Okanogan camper in the background, 4 of us Mark, Ted, Peter and Ed spent 7 days in that little truck camper hunting Elk and Moose. My god that was 45 years ago, hard to believe.

Not much of a story to it, I was walking into a clearing one morning and there he was, about 100 yards, shot him with a savage 99E in 308 win. bushnel fixed 4X scope and 150gr Winchester power point.

Those were great days

You shot someone's Samoyed. Just kidding, white ones are fairly uncommon, at least around here, I've never seen one. Just thinking today, I got my first one, very early in March 15 ? years ago and it was a Black one

That was just the first of many more to come. I would love to them all, one by one in this thread.
