Default Pheasant shooting Ireland

Another video out on the Pheasant Syndicate in Ireland. This one is from Boxing Day, so after loads of turkey & wine on Christmas Day the shooting wasn't great.

Was a really great day weather wise but the sun constantly proved a hindrance with it in my eyes and also shining off the sea.

I hope you all enjoy, plenty more videos to follow!!!

Beautiful location! Looks like a bit of a thigh-burner. I'm sure you worked off that turkey and wine. Thanks for the post.

Thanks for the up close look at your hunting experience Ollie. That terrain looks crazy steep, very thick ground cover and the spaniels seem to love it. Is the water in the background the Irish Sea? When is the pheasant season there? Here we get six weeks in October-November, can't shoot hens and the land is a bit flatter......sk

Yes that is the Irish Sea in the background. Across the water from us is Scotland. The cover is extremely thick in our shoot, probably thicker than we would like, but it's great habitat for the birds.

Our season runs from October to end of January. We buy the birds as poults during the summer, they are kept in a holding pen & fed every day until about September. They are then released into the shoot and we don't normally start shooting them until start of November. We have feed stations around the shoot to try to keep the birds from straying into other ground.
