Default whats up with ALBERTARELM?

as any hunter or fisherman knows there is some new service provider manageing the albertarelm site. to date there has been many problems with the system and they can't seem to get there chit together. apparently IBM used to run it but now it's some new company.
after hearing that redfords ex husbands law firm got a contract to sue tobacco companies that might be worth up to half a billion dollars for the law firm, (read that here on the forum, not sure if it's correct) one wonders who decided to let these clowns take over albertarelm. how many millions are they being paid? they keep setting dates for updates that are never met, and system is down more often then up. is there no performance clause that they have to follow?

Well the email I got said that draw priority info wouldn't be up until mid May, I believe. I had a bit of a scare when I went to look at my draw priorities, but then remembered the email. Is that what you're referring to? What are you trying to do?

i guess i'm just frustrated at not being able to access my account or get info. thats supposed to be up and running.
what i'm really trying to do is figure out why they scrap a system that was in place and working and bring another one in that doesen't work properlly.
i'll probably feel better after my morning coffee. just wanted to vent.

FWIW, I couldn't seem to access my account either until I reset my password.

Enjoy your coffee, feels great!

Just had the priviledge of buying the first bear license at the Local HH. Not that bad, for me at least. Not that complicated either for the lady doing the tag. One person in the whole store familiar with the process though , training for which involved watching a 2 1/2 hour video. Involves some pen and ink paperwork, including labelling the tag. Wrote BEAR on mine, so I had to ask, Any bear?

WTH? And what about those of us (like my brother and myself) who have waited for 6 years to be drawn for Turkey hunting in May???? Does this mean that I'm not going to be able to purchase my Turkey tag?

BS!

You know I could be wrong, may have been mid-April. Also maybe you just have to draw anyway and you just don't see your priority, though it's there. To be honest I just said to myself "yep, that's before June" and moved on.

The New AlbertaRelm has worked flawlessly for me other than my oops on initial sign on which a helpful guy on the other end of the line remedied in no time for me.

Bought my fishing license and did mine and a buddie's walleye draws no problem.

So far I am fine with it.

Priorities will be posted in due time I assume. Definitely not going to get all worked up over it.

Yep, just called the 1-888 number.....

All previous draw priorities and other pertinent information is scheduled to be uploaded for April 23rd.....

I'll wait until then when the system will crash again (I'm funnin' now)....

Had to phone tem however, ans the Realm said my WINN # didn't match.
Re-did the application with the IT guy and all is good!

Do you guys read every email the Fish cops send you? Because I know I don't. I remembered it well enough to go back and check when I ran into trouble checking draws, but I'm sure plenty of people get more emails per day than I do.

I just tried to log on and the website told me my win card # is not on file. I'm currently on hold with their amazing help desk due to the fact that I don't want to create a new account and have all my priorities lost into cyberspace.

And imagine this, they are experiencing longer than usual wait times due to heavy traffic.. I don't know if I have ever not heard this from the government! My references for my PAL were on hold for 45 and 50 friggin minutes! And that was last week, I mail'd my application in JANUARY! Oi Vey

At least they are on this continent. Outsourcing is the new way when it comes to tech support and call centers. Money ru(i)ns the world.

Red face

Well first over the counter experience was sort of funny... First, a tag did not get printed. Then, when I asked "Where is my tag???", a tag with WRONG NUMBER was handed out to me. Then we all (two CT ladies and I) were looking for right one (the one listed in license) in the packs of those green tags...

Watch out folks, there is more room for an error in the 'improved' system...
