To hear Donald Trump tell it, the United States is not getting its money’s worth in Saudi Arabia.
Trump, who has repeatedly portrayed Mexico, Japan, and China as “ripping us off,” shifted his focus to Saudi Arabia in an interview that aired Sunday on NBC’s Meet the Press.
“They should pay us,” Trump said of the oil rich nation. “Like it or don’t like it, people have backed Saudi Arabia. What I really mind, though, is we back it at tremendous expense. We get nothing for it.”
Trump portrayed the U.S. financial relationship with Saudi Arabia as outdated.
“The primary reason we’re with Saudi Arabia is because we need the oil,” Trump said. “Now we don’t need the oil so much, and if we let our people really go, we wouldn’t need the oil at all and we could let everybody else fight it out.”
The U.S. currently imports more than one million barrels of Saudi Arabian oil each day, according to the U.S. State Department’s website.
Despite his critique of the current working relationship, Trump stopped short of calling for the U.S. government to simply walk away from the Saudis, who he said would soon find themselves as a “major target” of Islamic State terrorists.
“Saudi Arabia is going to be in big trouble pretty soon and they’re going to need help, because if you look at Yemen and you look at that border, you don’t have to be an expert to know that is one long border, and they’re not going in for Yemen, they’re going in for the oil, they’re going in for Saudi Arabia, so Saudi Arabia is going to need help,” Trump said.
Throughout the interview, Trump asserted that American leaders had, for years, routinely cut bad deals with foreign governments across the globe. In the case of Saudi Arabia, that has helped the Arab nation “make a billion dollars a day,” said Trump.
“Saudi Arabia, if it weren’t for us, they wouldn’t be here,” Trump said. “They wouldn’t exist.”

Simple answer: Because our politicians and wannabes politicians are even dumber and more corrupt then the politicians that have been taking care of themselves in the USA.

I like Kasichs' personality and hard nosed approach. He has been successful in his state but I disagree with some of his policies.
I would prefer Carson or Carly for VP.

The problem with both Carson and Carly is that they are both inexperienced and to me it would be better to have someone that knows the ropes, how to work within the system to guide Trump with the senate and congress in order to get his plans activated quickly. Just my take.
Besides he can't stand Carly Fiorina. lol

I love Sarah Palin because she's a little goofy and not like the rest of them.
How about Ted Nugent as VP?

Typical!
Aren't there way more pressing problems to solve instead of going on a witch hunt for a white "bigot", that was not a bigot in the first place?
Personally with the exception of his joke at the debate, he does not strike me as a person that should be the President or V.P. of the USA. Whenever I watch him speak I start to yawn because he looks like he is falling asleep while he is talking.
I do admire the fact that he was a brain surgeon, but V.P. material? Personally I do not think so. A professor at a Johns Hopkins University, perhaps.
Margaret Sanger did a whole lot more then just setting up abortion clinics, and removing her bust from the Smithsonian would be a slap in the face to all women that have worked for the rights of all women and woman's health.
If you want to read about her life story go here:

My favorite picture of Obama smoking MJ, 15 more months left to go, then adios amigo!

I dont really know much about Sanger.
It just struck me as strange that Carson's words made such an impact.
I like Carson's mellow demeaner.
Trump/Carson......big contrast

Both Carson and Trump are being accused of being inexperienced politically. Carson is an incredibly intelligent man and Trump isn't the village idiot the media makes him out to be, obviously.
What experience did Obama have, being a community organizer/ back bencher in the Illinois senate?
Presidents have a machine surrounding them. Obama selected like minded "yes people" and never listened to the advice of any of them.
Carson and Trump have both stated, if people would stop and listen to what they are actually saying instead of focusing on their demeanors, that they would select the best minds and together solve issues and run the country.
Does anyone think Carson would surround himself with "yes men" and rule? Does he seem like that kind of guy? No! He's anti yes men and anti PC.
Trump has been selecting good people and delegating all his life. When asked about ISIS, he said he'd get a General or two like Macarthur or Patton and wipe them out.
These guys would fill their administration with good people and listen to them, unlike Barack Obama (I am at the point that even typing his name makes me pizzed off. Worst President in history. Too bad Jimmy Carter, being diagnosed with what looks like terminal cancer won't be around when historians rip apart Obama).

Watching Clinton making jokes about it all yesterday was sickening. The lowest common denominator voters she is targeting can't see through her.
It's freaking amazing. Anyone else would be in jail by now yet there are people shouting "Hilary, Hillary"...incredible.

It is truly amazing that in the US there lives a Queen that is untouchable. To me this is another result of Obama being President. Ultimately it's on him. All of the scandals are.

I have been seeing lots of snippets from various things Trump has said over the last few weeks, so, I thought I'd have a look at some of the interviews he has done lately in the "major show" class. So, I looked at You Tube and saw one with Hannity from the 11th, and one from Meet the Press last weekend.
I was marginally impressed with the Meet the Press interview, as I watched it first. He came across as being in the process of developing the people and a plan, not willing to say too much yet, so as not to give out secrets , so to speak.
Then I watched Hannity's interview.
It struck me as the two interviews were nearly word for word the same, as far as what Trump said. Change the background and the camera position, and play the recording of the words Trump spoke, was how it struck me. Yet the Hannity interview was done before the other. Seems like he is getting it down, and the interviewers were playing to it. He is slowly learning to becoming a politician.
Still not sure what to think of him, he is still very much in the process of selling himself.
Interesting concepts of making the countries in the Middle East pay up by taking over the oilfields. Sounds quite hawkish towards them, he's willing spill some blood to do it, I think. His view on NATO is interesting.
Not sure how he plans to stop the "inversion", as he calls it, of business moving out of the US. Almost sounds onerous in some fashion,, and I can't envision just how he will keep it from backfiring on the US. Sounds as though he is inferring that he wants to tank some free trade agreements.
I wonder how he would work some of this stuff thru the US political system to make it happen.
