Caution GFW
I encourage you all to beware of this company. Specifically Marty. If you don’t want to be treated fairly, paid promptly what your goods are actually worth, have a coyote killing candy store at your disposal, or learn a lot about your coyotes then don’t deal with them! Just finished up a round 2 with them and am very happy. This has been such a fun year marketing coyotes. So enlightening under this model to see how my grades are specifically evaluated. I’ve learned more about coyote quality this year then all the pervious auction years were it’s a crap shoot out of your control. I like feeling a lot more in control of my marketing. I call and chat with all the buyers regularly but GFW is where I end up. By far the best averages of my career!

When giving someone a compliment, it's usually best to just come out and say it rather than be a wiseguy...
Especially given the public forum, and the controversy surrounding the fur industry right meow.

Still doesn’t state what the rate will be vs bank exchange rate.
I believe I was slightly off at 5%, my deepest apologies... here is a thread that basically states that FHA exchange rate was 2% more than NAFA’s
http://www.trapper.ca/cnta/viewtopic...e+rate#p133784
So then 4% not 5%? How does that sound Dave? Or do you still not understand the loss at the point of exchange?

Dude, did you just post a link to a thread where you stated not only once, but three times, that the exchange rate is 2%?
“Jim, would you believe me if I told you I'd much rather keep my money in my pocket? I would rather keep the extra 2%
I would rather see FHA give the trapper that extra 2% and then charge the buyers more packing and handling charges and/or up the buyers commission.”
And,
“Regardless, it will make me, a simple and ignorant trapper, much happier when I get the 2%”
So, I guess it’s 2% when you’re selling but hey, why not, 5% when you’re buying.
You’re busted. I’d suggest that you stop digging a deeper hole.
BTW, it’s 1.02% exchange rate, not 2%.

Oops, my bad. I should have said 7% not 5%. 18% minus 11% equals 7% right? I guess that I’m not good with math after all.

I guess you didn't understand the hypothetical question there. That doesnt surprise me. The OP asks if NAFA should up its exchange rate fee to FHA level and i say keep it in the trappers pocket.

But please do investigate. I am basing my understanding simply on hearsay. Trapper Bob*** sez FHA exchanged at 1.36
Google search shows late March exchange rate at 1.40
Please Davey? Pretty please?
I sure asked nice eh?

I believe if the coyote market “crashes” groeny will still be in Canada because if we as trappers do our job to control the coyote population there’ll still be great western Canada fur to be bought. A 70$ coyote that was once a 140$ coyote still looks the same in the field or in the trap and trapping is about wildlife management and the hi prices for coyotes were a bonus.
My point is even if prices tank and we still trap em they will buy.
No doubt there’ll b the guys that quit because they liked the payday that went with it (I know I have picked up equipment recently from a few) but that just means more fur running around for the rest of us.
Just my opinion.
