In most European countries, if not part of the local club, the farmers can't even hunt on their own land.
How would 7-10 000 $ a year for hunting rights sound to you? Getting associated in clubs, bidding for hunting land... from the good ol' "let's get out and hunt today" to " I wish my son can be accepted as a hunter, but we have to wait until one of the old guys dies."
If you think paying for access to hunting land is a good idea, then don't get stuck with the 200$ in mind.
And for the fella' that thinks the prices will go down... please pray tell, when did that ever happen? Can we be that blind as to ignore all the examples we have in the world today? Just because "Alberta has a lot of land"?
