Default Replacing a front sight

I have a Winchester 94 Trapper. I need to replace the front sight because it is broken. Looking down the front of the barrel, do I tap out the original sight from the left side or the right side? Or, does it matter?

When dealing with firearms for determining left and right it is as though you are holding it to shoot .
