I do. 28 Nosler. Currently my load is a 150 TTSX at 3330 fps. Had it over 3400 but it performed better at 3330. I have a backcountry brake on it and find it a pleasure to shoot. I have a couple barrels throated for the 195 EOL, but no load development yet. Was going to try the 168 LRX in one and 195 EOL in the other.

I do believe the recoil of the 28 would be very similar to the .300 win.

Its a step up assuming 160's in the 28 and 165's in the 300 but not massively so.

I shot a friends Remington 700SPS that was a 7RM reamed to 28 Nosler and the recoil was significant. Make sure you have a scope with good eye relief.

I’ve got a Christensen Ridgeline in 28 Nosler. Shooting 162gr currently. I quite like the cartridge save I find it fouls with carbon in the throat quite quickly. 30 rounds is about all I dare push things before I start seeing the results. Could be a factor of stock design, but my much heavier 300 Wby and 165gr pills beats the snot out of me off a bench, the Nosler not so much. Ymmv.

If I want it to be, yes. But not for my comparison of felt recoil between those two rifles. With the brake it’s a kitten. An obnoxiously loud kitten but still a kitten. Braked vs no brake in the cartridges I listed would just be foolish of me.

I have a 7 RUM, very similar to the 28 Nosler. I also shot a 7 Rem mag and 300 Win mag for many years, I wore out about 4 300 Mag barrels. The RUM has significantly more recoil. I put a mercury decelerator and a Pachmeyer pad on it to tame it down for hunting and I shoot it braked for range work. Outside my 460 Bee it is the only braked rifle I have. I have much larger guns that I shoot regularly but I found the RUM in a Stainless Rem 700, 26" barrel weighing about ten pounds scoped, to be very sharp and unpleasant recoil. That much powder out of a small bore with 162 grain bullets, it was the most unpleasant rifle I ever shot till I tamed it down. With the brake on it is LOUD, but the recoil is about 30-06 level. Don't underestimate the recoil in significantly over bore rifles.
