Default Boat Motor Purchase in B.C.

Guys if I buy a boat motor in British Columbia and live in Alberta . Do I have to pay the PST?

If you have it shipped to you, no.
If you pick it up, I believe yes, but you can apply for a refund.

If PST is not collected at point of sale, you should be OK.

Buying new, yes. Buying privately, nope.

No you do not have to pay the PST if the seller completes the proper exemption form.
If the seller does not complete the applicable form then you have to file for a refund later.
