Default crossbow noobie

I am a long time bowhunter but cant recall ever even holding let alone shooting a crossbow. My wife just got her crossbow permit for a birth defect in her wrist and i am looking at getting her into shooting. I am likely going to look for something used just to see how she likes it. Any tips on what to look for and/or stay away from?

I now you said "used" and you may be able to pick up a quality used crossbow..................however, this is a great package bow for the price:

I would search for a Excalibur cross bow....they are bullet proof and wont let you down.

Times Ten!!

Had several of their models.
Bulletproof and comes with the best damned warranty in the business bar none. Never needed that, but nice to know.
Loads of power, as accurate as they come.

Cheers,
Nog

Get her an Excaliber Micro. I have one and it's perfect...you cannot hurt them, easy to change a string in the field, and VERY powerful
