Aside from anterless whitetail and mule deer, the gf and I didn't get anything.
Crazy to think her priority 6 didn't get antlered muledeer in the zone we applied. Wasn't too long ago that it was a 3-4 year draw.

Is it just me or does it seem crazy that they are giving out 916 mule deer tags in 118? 316 buck tags and 600 doe tags. Is this because of CWD or is there really that much of a population that those tag numbers are justified? I've never hunted that area but it just seems like a lot of tags.

And.... 118 is doubling the doe tags, so 1200 doe tags, plus 211 undersubscribed tags equals about 2000 tags for 118,,,, good job biologists, kill them all out,,, you can't hunt out CWD,, good lord....

Congrats to all the green's! I'm still showing only entered for non trophy antelope. What gives? Is there a delay for antelope results or something?

It may be tough for access, there is a good fire going down there right now.

Man that's a shame for that country. We are finally getting some nice moisture out this way in southern BC and I was hopeful that most of AB was getting the same to reduce that darn fire risk.

Butkus for me, which was a relief as I think that I inadvertently didn’t 999 my antlered moose application. Or maybe I did? Either way I was thinking that I accidentally didn’t after the fact.

bull moose 353
I was doing some checking and I see they dropped the number of bull moose tags given out in 353 early season from 224 in 2018 to 105 for 2019. Anyone know the reason why? Has it been over hunted? Bears and wolves? Also I see they gave out 200 cow elk tags for early season. Is there a healthy elk population in that zone? Just wondering. Thanks.

When all else fails, read the draw timetable.

That zone has been over hunted for the last few years thanks to wanting to save that half dozen caribou... as for elk in there, better luck finding Sasquatch. No sense at all...
