Default Target / 3D Stabilizer Set Up

Hey guys,

What is everyone running for target/3d stabilizers. In saying this it is more directed at the stabilizer front bars over 20" and the back bar normally between 12' or 15". I am interested in the manufacturer, model, length and weights that seem to be working for you and any specific reason you went with them. There are so many out on the market from B-Stinger and Doinker to Axiom and Epix.

So let me know what works for you and what you like.

as for stabilizers im going to say your going to have try what works for you .... there are some good deals on used bars as well once you know what your looking for ... I know that's not what your looking for in terms of an answer... I don't know how long or how heavy mine are off the top of my head.... some guy just use short stabilizers and do really well some need the long ones ...

Default For sure

I am definitely going to see what is out there I can try. Because there are so many different makes and models out there I was more looking to see which manufacturers guys had the best luck with in order to narrow down the search.

I do appreciate the input. Any advice on the best place to look for used bars as you mentioned?

I'm no target or 3D expert by any means but what I've found in past year has
made a big difference for me as a hunter.

I've been using a 6" stab on my SBXT 2006 and DXT 2009 until last year,
just swapped it out for which ever bow I was shooting any given year.

It worked fine as far as it dampened shock and noise and helped hold my
bow arm steady.

I picked up a 12" B-stinger this past winter and have to say it made as much
of a difference as adding a peep sight did years ago. It closed my groups in
the horizontal as much as adding a peep closed my groups in the vertical.

They both helped in a noticable way that I could see.

They both took a few days of shooting to see the effects but after about
2-3 days it was clear.

1. Adding a peep site helped me set my draw arm anchor consistently (Vertical control).

2. Adding a longer stab with total less mass weight and most weight out on the for front
end farther out worked to stop left and right sway of the bow hand (Horizontal control).

I'm currently using a 12" b-stinger on the front with no back or side bar.
You may need something totally different to balance your bow.
Lot's of folks go with a 12" x 8" front and back and have more weight on the
back than the front. All depeneds upon how the bow feels and shoots for you.
Quiver on or off makes a diff. too.

Yeah proper balance is very important with a bow. On my hunting set up I am currently shooting 9" our in front with the weight way out in front. With my rear mount and my QDC the front is about 12" out there and I am running a 6" out the back which realistically is probably closer to 9". It definitely makes a big difference.

I will be getting a target/3D stabilizer set up decided on in the near future.
