That is one of the only reason I support driverless cars.

Nah they will just get you with riding while intoxicated. On a side note do you think these will catch on? Im betting we get one case where a hacker or glitch sends a bus into a river and everyone backs off the idea

No doubt Driverless Cars will be common place, hopefully within ten years. I can see the likelihood of requiring sober/competent oversight on board.
Hackers, maybe??? But not happening with aircraft auto pilot. Some of them even landing without the pilot touching the stick.

My new vehicle does already drive itself. Just set cruise control and a couple other features sit back and relax. It will even slow down if your distance is to close to another vehicle, even stears itself through bends in the road. Not that I would but this new technology would be an impaired drivers best friend. However on occasion the vehicle will tell you to steer for a second, I think it's for those who have a little nappy poo

You would get charged. It is not driving impaired. It is ( operation of a motor vehicle while impaired) that is why they can charge you if your drunk and the car is parked your not driving but you are in operation of it

It's called care and control.

I guess technically speeking if I were in my garage with the keys in the ignition and the stereo on while drinking wobbly pops I could get an impaired as well. Rather silly I know but I've even heard of people getting an impaired sleeping in a vehicle with keys in their pocket while loaded. Fact or fiction, duno

From some of the driving I have seen, I think there may already be a number of driverless cars on the road.

Driverless cars are the answer since we can't collectively figure out what lane to take when turning a corner, signal, merge properly or stay out of the hammer lane unless your passing. Luckily for most people they will give a license to almost anyone no matter how many fundamental skills you lack
