Default Scat ID Help

Hey guys & gals...

I was out scouting earlier this week and saw this.
To me, it appears to be black bear scat, full of berries... It fits for this time of year. Just wanted some second opinions.

Thanks!

I thought of that too, but I figured it was too big to be coyote.
Nothing for scale there that you can easily see, but the main part to the right was much larger than anything I've seen from a coyote. I could be wrong though!

Coyote. For some reason this time of year with the berries coyote bowel movememts become massive. Last year i thought my elk spot had been invaded by bears (in an area thaat has no bears) until one day i found clear tracks in the sand indicating the culprit as a coyote taking bear sized chits.

Yep, they are really kind of omnivores. They have also been known to dig up carrots. Friends had their whole garden looted by coyotes one year. Makes sense, when you think that most pet dogs will eat carrots and veggies, too.

Bears I've see, this time of year, usually look like red cow pies.
