Default Long-tailed Weasel Photos....

Came across this guy on a backroad. He was very cooperative and didn't mind his photo being taken. At first he had a mouse, but I wasn't quick enough with the camera. These guys are fearless!

Thank you.... I'm shooting Nikon. The body is the Nikon D7500 and the lens is the Nikkor 200-500mm f5.6
He was right beside the road, in the ditch, so made it a little easier to shoot.

I see only one photo, too slow a connection perhaps.

I've tried to photograph Weasles, hardest animal out there to get a good photo of. My hat's off to you, Great Job!

I've long wondered about them, I'd read about them and how they are endangered in ALberta, I can only dream of seeing one.

Thanks for posting.

OMG those are awesome. We have least weasel at our place. I watched one from the window. I saw my 7 year old and and lab following then looking at something in the trees, then this Monty Python like least weasel was chasing them, jumping at them and they were running away...so funny. Great photos...

If you see one in your barn, the mice are shaking in their boots. Good reason to protect them and not let the dog or cat chase them.

These are wonderful shots. Should enter them in a Canadian Geographic photo contest. Sure to win.

Default Long tailed weasel

Thanks for the incredible pictures. Weasels are one of my favorite little critters to come across when I’m out in the bush.

Excellent job. I love watching them and yes they can be curious and fearless, I had one run towards me and jump on my boot while calling coyotes.

When you got attacked was it like the weasel that attacked Foghorn Leghorn in the cartoon?
