It’s a good deer. Still young. I would not have passed it up.

Dick got a nose bleed when he fell asleep in the comfy blind and bonked his noggin again

There’s likely a bullet up in his front end someplace.
I’ll find it when we butcher him.

I wish.

My hunting season is on hold till I get new wheels.

I could use the wifes car but it's old and has no ground clearance. And it's two wheel drive. Right now the back roads arund here are too slippery for it, and/or too rutted.

I may use it to go grouse hunting locally but it's not up to long trips and very limited in what road it can travel.

That's a dandy Buck. congratulations. Should be good eating too.

There is a nice Buck, not quiet as big as yours, hanging around here. I may try to arrow him, in my back yard or close to it. I would prefer to go further for my game but this year I may not have that option.

My Moose tag will just have to wait.

As Rugersingle put it.
It’s all that preparation you do for hunting.
Aka: “Preparation H”

Scouting, setting up, clearing shooting lanes, and good landowner relations.

They all pay dividends.

This year we moved the blind to a new spot, that’s 4 moves in as many years, and I think we’ve finally found the spot. It involved clearing up some over growth, which by the way is where I killed this years buck.

“Preparation H” gets it done!
