Default bull elk down!!

I had been at my spot for about an hour on tuesday, first night out for the season, i was just cow chirpin occasionally and it was pretty quiet. so i decided to let out a bugle. after my bugle i could hear some branches breaking quite aways away. i thought it may have been a coincidence. so i waited ten minutes and bugled again. (keep in mind at this point i have never shot anything with my bow before, and i have never killed an elk). well he never bugled back, but he started running towards me, FAST, It was really thick bush from where he was coming from and i couldnt see anything but i could sure hear him. i drew my bow back and pointed it in the general direction all the branches were snapping. it was intense. at this point i am sweating hard and all i can hear is my heart beating in my ears. well he come around a tree at 7 yards!! I was set up on a game trail and there was only room on that trail for one of us!! he was running and i barely had any time to judge him. i didnt know if i should shoot, yell, or throw my bow at him and run. LOL. just then I seen 3 points on his one antler and as he was coming around a tree i let the arrow go. he was quartering towards me, but the arrow burried up to the fletching right behind the shoulder. he whipped around and started running the other way (luckily) so i started cow chirping and he stopped at 20 yards and looked at me, then took off just out of sight then everything was quiet for about a minute and a half. then i herd him pile up. holy man it was the biggest adrenaline rush of my life !!! Then i had to get him out of the bush by myself in the dark, but thats a whole other story. My batteries were dead in my camera so i couldnt get any feild pics but luckily i got him on my game camera..... theres some decent whitetails too! what a start to the season. ( i had BBQ tenderloin for supper tonight and it is by far the best wild game ive ever had)
