Default i did it!!! thanks and shout out!!!

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to all the AO members who helped me. I went to Travers and I limited out. Mega thanks to Snap zip bwak pike spin...Andy and all those I forgot about. If I were a white fish I'd be extremely scared.

On a funnier note I was out at Travers last week....and it was too windy to fish, so i didnt put the pontoon out.... and I saw some guys on the highway and one of them was wearing a life jacket!!! dudes on the hiway wearing life jackets!!!! LOL!!! there is no phone reception so.... they were stranded on the other side of the spillway at Travers. Luckily I was able to drive around the gate and make two trips and help these poor stranded guys. All I asked in return was some dim sum. They said okay and I'm still waiting to hear back. I wonder what the odds are if they will actually call back?

Thanks again all

Happy

Nice job!

Were you in a boat or shore fishing? What FOW were they hitting at? I was there two weeks ago and got skunked but it was cold and windy on shore so I didn't stay that long. I'm trying to put the time in to learn that place better but work keeps getting in the way

How are you catching whites there?

We have a cabin at the resort so we spend a lot of time there. Always catch lots of walleye and pike while the whitefish jump all around us

Happy, that is just freakin awesome right there! Congrats on the success with whites. Nice job on the tackle.

You might have to try that site fishing for them at Sylvan.
Should be hot, hot right now for whites. They are spooky but you get enough casts in front of them you will find more than enough that don't see you in time. Takes some practice but is a ton of fun. Late Sep and Oct are also good as well.

Nice work on being the good samaritan as well

Nice W/W pattern .... next time take a pic of the fish(s) & don't worry about the dim sum ... good Karma for the rescue.

tnx all. to answer a few questions.....i was in my 1 man pontoon boat. 20 FOW.....thats where they are. i use a slip weight with a bead....down to a swivel. then 18" of 8lb vanish down to my WW. keep WW horizontal and 1 foot off bottom. then small jigging.....and rest....repeat....

if its windy...for some reason they dont bite. So if its windy i wont go.
