Default Old Betsie

Real busy at work, so only got out a couple times. Bought a new-to-me rifle last winter, scoped her up, shot a couple boxes of shells through it, very happy.

Come time to actually go hunting, I was so tempted to take my go-to rifle, a Wby V in a 300WM. Really like the new little popgun 25:06 so forced myself.

Always wanted one then I look at my .270s and think Why? Of course the easy answer is "Why not." One day an 06 or 257W will be in the picture.

I always thought you had to be a bit light in the loafers to shoot anything smaller than a 30 cal.
But then I got a 6.5 sweede.
And now I mostly use a 257 wby.
And I think it's fabulous.

I don’t hunt with my dads 270 husky anymore worried if something happens to it I wouldn’t be able to get parts but damn that old gun can shoot. But i have a 300 win 25/06 and a 257 i always seem to grab the 300

25 caliber bullets kill like lightening. 250 Savage through 257 Wby Mag.
