Default Pee Jug

So I'm one of those OCD types...

I get up, frac up a 2-cupper coffee, drink one cup, hit the can, drink second cup then head out.

I do not eat or drink anything else all day, until I get back home.

And I carry a plastic jug that I pee in. Don't want to stink up the hunting area.

Am I the only guy that carries a pee jug?

Umm no but I can tell you that if you make a mock scrape and pee in it deer will continue to visit it

Tried this last year and this year. My pee definitely didn’t spook any of the regulars on my cams

I have also been peeing out of my stand and in the areas I scout for as long as I can remember no issues

But if you want to pee in a jug giver

Hell yeah I carry a **** bottle.
I believe it's a 2 quart Gatorade bottle?
Wrapped in a an old wool sock. Have had it for many years.
And no, I aint worried about scaring deer away, I don't like them ATTRACTED to my tree.

I've sat over mock scrapes and pee in a jug then dump it in the scrape when I leave.
Got lots of trail cam pics of deer of those scrapes.

Last year I peed in a bottle and left it in the garage to “ripen” for a couple weeks…whooooeeee! Then I started a scrape with it and the deer took it over.

That’s nuts. (The pee jug part)..

You think an animal smells urine and knows it’s human??! I think you give them too much credit.

Deodorant, lip chap, soap, coffee breath, synthetic clothing, gasoline, food in your pack, general human stink..... that they smell...if they have the wind

I never worry about pee... in fact, taking a big pee in the bush may very well bring in a buck

Guiding moose in Yukon

Hunters absolutely shocked we relieved ourselves when we hunted. They had this idiotic idea that it mattered.

Id ask them "where did you learn that crap"

Two answers: either it was " my daddy" or "every huntin' show".

"My daddy" was always my favorite answer

Tell me, did "your daddy" ever shoot a Yukon moose or a caribou or a grizzly".

"Well, no"

Then shut up and pizz if you have to

I use a pee bottle because I treestand hunt a lot. I believe if you accumulate enough yellow snow around your stand it can be detrimental to your hunt but just my opinion. Especially a #2

A few years back on a canoe hunt we stayed at a well used jet boat campsite for almost a week. The zone we were in had only recently opened for whitetails, and throughout the hunt we had several different does coming right through the camp at all hours of the day, getting within a couple meters of us, like park animals almost. It was my partner that finally noticed it... they were licking and eating the vegetation where we had pee'd. I really thought he was full of crap when he first mentioned it and we devised a number of experiments to prove eachother wrong, but by the end it was undeniable, they were definitely sniffing out where we pee'd and using it almost a mineral lick.

Never seen anything like that before or since.

Well, when the wife was pregnant we lived in a 1 bath. I may have used the odd pilsner bottle on occasion.

I have heard of truck drivers doing this…….
When I’m out hunting I always have a pack along with me and of course my rifle, there is no way I’m adding a 2-3 lb bottle full of p!SS to the pack to carry around with me even if it did make a difference. There are plenty of other detectable smells I’m carrying.

I have contributed to scrapes, but generally the nearest bush from the tree that was convienient to lean my rifle against is the recipient.

Just sneeze. Usually pops right out.

No bottle here, go where the wind blows.

My experience it makes no difference.

I’ve walked a trail and 15 minutes later theirs a buck behind me on the trail camera.

Lots of guys have taken leaks and shot deer either that same day or later in the week.

Then there are the folks who save their wives and girlfriends used sanitary napkins, hang them around their stands and swear by them.
