I use them. Work great on deer.

I’m not convinced the creedmoor has the horsepower for them to be effective at longer ranges (I prefer muzzle velocities around 3000 fps for the Barnes bullets) but they are my primary hunting bullets for shots under 200 yards.

I can’t recall the exact recipe but I will check for you when I get back home.

The LRX is capable down to 1,800 FPS , we have used them in my father's .280 and my son's 6.5 STW.
I would try them in my .303 but sadly BARNES only makes .311's in 150 grain TSX

Yes the lrx is designed to open with lower velocities than the ttsx. Excellent option if you can find them

My 6.5CM Barnes LRX load:

41.5 gr Varget
2.800”
~2760 fps

I tried seating them out a bit further (my max coal is 2.890”) and with more powder to get slightly more velocity but the accuracy suffered.

I am a firm believer that speed is the key for optimal performance with Barnes bullets but I also load the 130gr Sierra gamechanger for my rifle. They have the same poi so I use those where there is the potential for the longer shots. I’ve shot 2 whitetail bucks with the lrx’s and was happy with the performance.

Thank you. What rifle are you shooting. I’m using a Savage 12FV heavy barrel 1 in 8 twist

Very nice. I’m going to see what results I get using them with Staball 6.5

I've loaded the 127LRX with H4350 and IMR4451. Had similar velocities- could only get around 2700 FPS- but better accuracy in my rifle with 4350. I'll probably experiment with StaBall this winter. It should be excellent.

The 127 works great out of the CM. We've harvested multiple critters with the combo. Including my bull moose last year. Frontal shot, that penetrated all the way to the pelvis.

I'm using 42.5 gr H4350 in Horn brass for 2730 fps out of my 21" barreled Barrett FC. The bullet is seated to 0.050" off the lands, and shoots consistently sub-0.75 MOA. The bullet is advertised to expand reliably down to 1500 fps, and just hammers game.
